Moreton Bay College was honoured to celebrate its 125th anniversary at Government House, hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland on Tuesdsay 21 July.
The occasion brought together Old Girls, including Bay Terrace cohorts, current students, Board members, staff and distinguished guests to reflect on the College’s rich history and enduring legacy.
In her address, Her Excellency reflected on Moreton Bay College’s evolution from its beginnings in 1901 to the thriving community it is today, acknowledging the generations of educators, students and supporters who have shaped the College over the past 125 years. She also recognised the impact of Moreton Bay College alumnae and celebrated the College’s ongoing commitment to helping young women grow as capable, compassionate and confident leaders.
The evening provided a meaningful opportunity to honour the people, values and achievements that have defined Moreton Bay College for 125 years, while looking ahead to the next chapter in the College’s story.
