Turning Vision into Action
Established in 2016, the Foundation builds a culture of generosity that helps create opportunity, enrich learning and strengthen the future of MBC.
It is grounded in a simple belief: philanthropy can open doors, expand possibility and help young people thrive. At its heart, the Foundation is about impact. It helps turn vision into action, supporting the people, experiences and environments that shape an exceptional education.
What the Foundation makes possible
The Foundation focuses on two key areas of impact.
1
Bursaries
2
Facilities
The Foundation supports bursaries that help remove financial barriers to a Moreton Bay College education. Funds such as the Jennifer Haynes Memorial Bursary and the Quentin Bryce Bursary help ensure that talented and promising students can access the opportunities offered by MBC, regardless of circumstance.
The Foundation also invests in facilities that enhance learning and wellbeing for current and future generations of students. Recent contributions have supported classroom renovations, upgrades to the MBC Waller Centre precinct and upgrades to the Oriel Handley Hall.
Why it matters
A strong Foundation allows the Colleges to look beyond immediate needs and invest in what is possible.
It helps support projects and opportunities that might not otherwise be realised through school operations alone. It strengthens access, enriches the student experience and helps ensure the Colleges continue to grow with purpose and vision.
Every gift becomes part of something bigger: an investment in young people, in possibility and in the future of the Moreton Bay Colleges.
How the Foundation is supported
The Foundation is supported through tax-deductible donations, grants, sponsorships, fundraising initiatives and gifts in wills.
Together, these forms of giving help grow the Foundation’s capacity to invest strategically and meaningfully in both Colleges over time.
