MBC International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme Years Prep-6 – 0101301
International students can study from Prep to Year 6 at Moreton Bay College. Primary learning is delivered through the Australian Curriculum within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), supporting inquiry, independence and strong academic foundations. Girls learn in a supportive environment that is engaging, challenging and internationally minded.

International students can study through to Year 12. In Secondary School, girls follow a broad academic programme designed to prepare them for further study and life beyond school. Senior students work towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), with pathways to university and vocational options.
Short-term Study Abroad
MBC offers group study tours, group study abroad and individual study abroad options. Students can study for one term, one semester or one year, while group programmes combine English learning, Australian cultural experiences, excursions and school immersion. Short-term students also benefit from the buddy programme, which helps them connect with Australian students and settle into school life with confidence.

Accommodation
For international students living away from their families, Moreton Bay College provides access to an approved Homestay Programme through StudyMatch, a third-party provider.
Homestay is designed to offer students a secure and caring home away from home, with students carefully matched with host families. Students are supported with essentials such as a private bedroom, meals, study facilities, internet access and 24-hour emergency assistance.

Starting School
We support students carefully as they begin life at MBC. From orientation and timetables to uniforms, transport and co-curricular opportunities, students are guided through the practical details of daily school life so they can settle in with confidence.

Student wellbeing is a priority at Moreton Bay College. International students are supported through strong pastoral care, orientation, clear welfare processes and a safe, inclusive environment where they are known, valued and supported to thrive.
All international students are required to maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their studies in Australia. Families may arrange OSHC independently or through the College.

Entry Requirements
Moreton Bay College welcomes enrolment applications from primary and secondary students seeking to study in Australia on a Student Visa. Applications are considered subject to the College’s entry requirements, as well as the legislative requirements of the State of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Students may be required to undertake additional English language tuition before entering mainstream classes, where this is necessary to meet the required English language proficiency standard.

Academic Requirements
Students must provide evidence of satisfactory academic achievement appropriate to their proposed year level. A pass level of C or better is required for the majority of core subjects.
English Language Requirements
Following a successful interview with the Head of School, students must meet the College’s minimum English language requirements for direct entry into mainstream classes.
Fees
International fees are outlined in the written agreement and may include tuition, non-tuition fees, accommodation and welfare arrangements, and Overseas Student Health Cover where applicable.

A place is confirmed only after signed documents and required payments are received. Parents or legal guardians must sign the written agreement.

Students are invited to interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team, either in person or online. - Offer
Successful applicants receive a provisional offer and written agreement. - Confirmation
Once documents and payment are received, the College issues the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and CAAW where required. - Pre-arrival
Families finalise travel, accommodation and arrival arrangements before orientation.
