Trisha Squires is a distinguished Australian sports executive and youth advocate whose contribution to community development was recognised when she was named Young Australian of the Year in 2006.

Trisha made history as the first woman appointed to lead an AFL State organisation, serving as CEO of AFL Tasmania. In 2020, she was appointed Head of AFL Queensland, where participation grew by 78%, increasing from 51,238 participants in 2019 to more than 91,000 participants in 2025. During this period, participation among women and girls increased by 117%, and Queensland became the second-largest AFL participation market in Australia.

Today, as Head of AFLW Operations based in Brisbane, Trisha leads the national operational delivery of the AFLW competition, overseeing competition management, club engagement, venue and match operations, stakeholder management, and strategic growth initiatives.
