Congratulations to our Head of Primary Sport, Mr Marc Hughes, on being recognised with the Queensland Community Cricket Celebrating Sport in Schools Award.
In just three years, Marc has led an extraordinary 167 per cent growth in cricket participation at Moreton Bay College, reflecting his passion, vision and strong commitment to developing girls’ cricket. Through comprehensive in-class Physical Education programs, the Andrews Cup competition involving more than 20 teams across Greater Brisbane, Pop Up Blast initiatives and Backyard to Big Bash events, Marc has created meaningful and accessible pathways for students to engage with and enjoy the sport.
Marc’s impact extends beyond the College, with his work contributing to the establishment of broader Queensland Cricket programs across the region. His leadership continues to inspire participation, confidence and a love of the game among young players.
We are extremely proud to have Marc as one of our sport leaders at Moreton Bay College and commend him on this outstanding achievement.
