Subject Selection Information 

Please ensure your daughter has reviewed and selected her subjects. For girls joining Years 7 and 8, a Language selection is the only requirement. For girls joining Years 9, 10 or 11, elective subjects will be required.

Moreton Bay Colleges Music Programme 2027

Please follow this link to our Co-curricular Music Handbook 2026 (2027 version pending). It explains the music programme in detail, particularly in respect to ensembles, rehearsal times, and audition processes. It also contains information for individual tuition.

Individual Music Tuition

Parents of new students to the Colleges should complete the online enrolment form if they would like to enrol their daughter for private instrumental or vocal lessons. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Music Team.

Auditions

Auditions for new students to the Colleges in 2027 will be held in the first week of Term 1, 2027. Please email the Music Team with the following information if you would like to register your daughter for entry into ensembles:

Further details regarding auditions will then be sent to registered families prior to the start of Term 1 2027.

Please note that the following choirs do not require an audition: MBC Training Choir (Year 1 & Year 2 students), MBC Primary Choir (Year 3 to Year 6 students) and MBC Chorale (Year 7 to 12). You should however still register for these groups by emailing the music department.

Immersion Programme (Years 4 & 5)

Instrument selection for all students joining Years 4 or 5 in 2027 will occur during the first weeks of Term 1.

Moreton Bay College Sport Overview

Welcome to Sport at Moreton Bay College. Sport provides a valuable opportunity to teach children vital life skills. By promoting the many positive aspects gained through participating in sport, the students can enhance and exhibit the core values promoted by the College – Teamwork, Engagement, Care and Character. Additionally, sport allows the students to work towards achieving personal and team goals.

The opportunities available to MBC students are vast. They have the chance to represent the College in sports including Basketball, Netball, Touch Football, Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country – to name a few.

Our major sporting commitment is to the Queensland Girls Secondary School Sports Association (QGSSSA) and Queensland Girls Primary Independent Schools Andrews Cup.

While students will have experienced some of these sports in Primary school, many will be new to them. Students should grasp the chance to experience and trial a wide range of activities and should not be deterred by inexperience or by what friends try out for. They might discover talents they never knew they had.

One important objective is that students enjoy their sport and feel a sense of achievement through involvement at any level.

All new families are invited to schedule an appointment for a uniform fitting starting at the end of October. The uniform shop will be open during the school holidays, ensuring there will be ample time to purchase all the required items.

Students in Years 4 – 12 require a Bucket Hat and this is to be embroidered with your daughter’s name by the College. Orders will close early December to ensure it’s completed for the first day of school.

The 2026 Booklists are available to view and download on our website here. 

The 2027 Booklists will be available shortly.

The Colleges use local supplier School Stuff:

  • You can order online at www.schoolstuff.com.au or by phone on 07 3391 7000.
  • SchoolStuff offers free delivery if you order before 15 November and $11.00 delivery after this date. You can also click and collect, or you can order in store at 83 Proprietary Street, Tingalpa.
  • The deadline for orders to be delivered before the start of the school year is 30 December 2025, though you are encouraged to order early.

IT Information

The BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program is applicable to students from Year 3 upwards. Primary students (Years 3 – 6) require an iPad and Secondary students can use a laptop. Specifications can be found below:

Moreton Bay College utilises multiple forms of communication channels alongside email to ensure parents are kept updated at all times.

MBC App

The Moreton Bay College app is the most convenient way for parents and caregivers to access information about events and daily activities at the school. The information on the app is always up to date and can be tailored to provide you with alerts and information specific to your child’s Year Group and Co-Curricular activities. Please download the app by January 2026 as some correspondence will be sent via this app before the start of the school term. The App User Guide can be found here.

MyMBC

MyMBC is the College’s online portal for parents, allowing access to information such as Handbooks, Policies, Event Calendars and much more. myMBC is available to access via the MBC homepage, at myMBC to access this portal, parents will be required to log in using their parent code. These details will be sent to you in early 2027.

Parent Lounge

Parent Lounge allows you access to your child’s details kept on our administration system including personal details, absence information, medical information, academic information, and the email addresses of their teachers. It also lets you keep your conact details up-to-date and allows parents to book into and pay for activities and events. Access to Parent Lounge is via myMBC or the MBC App and requires parents/caregivers to log in using their parent code. These details will be sent to you in early 2027.

At our College, we’re delighted to offer an exclusive, dedicated bus service for our MBC and MBBC students.

We understand that every family’s schedule is unique, so we’ve crafted three flexible bus fee options to suit your needs:

  • Full-Time Bus User

  • Casual Bus User

We partner with The Outsiders Play Advocates (TOPA) to operate the Outside School Hours Care Programme. Moreton Bay College’s before and after school and vacation care service is available for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Before school care

  • During term time between 6.30am–8.30am, Monday to Friday.

After school care

  • During term time between 2.30pm–6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Vacation care

  • 6.30am – 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during MBC school holidays and pupil-free days.

The OSHC Centre is closed on public holidays and for a two-week block at Christmas. Please see the coordinator for the closing dates each year.
