Set across 20 hectares of native trees, green ovals and landscaped gardens, the Moreton Bay College campus brings together heritage and contemporary design in a setting that is both beautiful and purposeful.
Our facilities are designed to support the full life of the College: academic growth, creative expression, physical challenge and community connection. From modern classrooms and specialist learning spaces to performance venues, sporting precincts and places of reflection, each environment plays a part in helping girls thrive.
Academic facilities
Our learning spaces are flexible, modern and designed to support a range of teaching approaches and learning styles.
Students benefit from dedicated facilities for Visual Art, Dance, Drama and Technologies, alongside contemporary classrooms that encourage collaboration, creativity and deep thinking. A contemporary, double-storey Science Centre features eight laboratories, Extended Experimental Investigation rooms, and dedicated spaces for Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Microbiology and Physics.
The Alice J Alison Greene Secondary Library houses a fully computerised library, electronic learning centre, seminar rooms, a multi-tiered auditorium, and French and Japanese classrooms. The Ngaire Tagney Primary Library includes two multi-function community rooms, a dedicated computer cluster, a library classroom, and a curated collection of books and resources designed to engage younger readers.
Cultural facilities
Creativity and performance are supported through a range of outstanding cultural spaces.
At the heart of the College’s music programme is the 560-seat Music Centre, the primary venue for co-curricular music tuition and performances. It includes soundproof rehearsal rooms, specialist classrooms and a concert hall that supports a vibrant culture of music-making.
Dance and Drama students also benefit from the Mamie McQuillan Auditorium, a 165-seat tiered venue fitted with theatre curtains, stage lighting and a specialised dance floor, making it ideal for performances, rehearsals and presentations.
The Moreton Bay College Centenary Chapel, a lovingly restored 19th century chapel donated by the Old Girls Association, remains a special place of worship, prayer and reflection.
At the heart of the campus is the beloved Oriel Handley Hall, a beautifully restored heritage building that honours the College’s history while serving as a welcoming space for community gatherings, events and connection. Its recommissioning in 2026 reflects MBC’s commitment to preserving its past and creating spaces that continue to enrich College life for future generations.
Sporting facilities
With a longstanding tradition of sporting success, the College offers a wide range of dedicated sporting facilities that support both participation and performance.
The Ken and Janet Waller Sports Centre includes special-purpose floors for gymnastics, including a foam training pit, as well as spaces for aerobics, weights, netball, basketball, volleyball and badminton.
The John Mason Pool is a heated Olympic-sized eight-lane swimming pool with shower and change facilities and shaded grandstand seating. The College also features a seven-court outdoor netball and tennis complex, two ovals for cricket, softball, touch football and athletics, and designated areas for long jump, shot put, javelin and discus.
