A carefully sequenced programme

The current camp programme is intentionally structured across Primary and Secondary years, supporting students socially, emotionally and personally as they grow. It strengthens relationships, build positive emotions, enhance resilience, promote mindfulness and encourage healthy living.

Primary camps

In Primary School, camps begin with a day camp in Year 3 and continue through the later years with carefully sequenced overnight experiences. These activities help girls develop courage, independence and a willingness to try new things, while also reinforcing the College values of Care, Teamwork, Character and Engagement.

Secondary camps

In Secondary School, camp experiences support girls through significant stages of transition and development.

The current programme includes:

  • Year 7 Camp, focused on relationships, connection and helping students feel that they belong in the Secondary community
  • Year 9 Camp, designed to stretch students through challenge and growth
  • Year 11 Camp, focused on leadership and personal development

These experiences help girls develop resilience, strengthen friendships and grow in self-belief.

More than a trip away

Camps are a meaningful part of an MBC education.

They create the space for girls to step outside their comfort zone, build trust in themselves and others, and return with greater confidence. Here, growth happens in the moments that cannot always be taught in a classroom.
