Debating
Debating gives students the opportunity to develop confidence in public speaking, critical thinking and teamwork.
MBC enters teams across Years 7 to 12 in the Queensland Debating Union Competition, giving girls the chance to test ideas, refine arguments and communicate with clarity and confidence.
Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh Award provides girls aged 14 and over with opportunities to develop service, skills, physical recreation and adventurous journey experiences as they work towards Bronze, Silver or Gold awards.
It is a valuable programme for building persistence, independence and responsibility.
Tours and exchanges
Tours and exchanges broaden perspective and bring learning to life.
These opportunities give students the chance to deepen their understanding of the world, engage with new cultures and extend their learning beyond the classroom. Whether through local, interstate or international experiences, students build independence, confidence and a broader sense of connection.
Tours and exchanges are offered in areas such as language, the arts, sport and other educational experiences, supporting girls to explore new environments and return with fresh insight and perspective.
