Where belonging grows
The House system is an important part of life at Moreton Bay College. It helps foster connection, participation and school spirit across the Secondary years, while also providing a strong framework for pastoral care.
Through House life, girls build friendships across year levels, take part in shared experiences and develop a deeper sense of belonging. House competitions in areas such as athletics, swimming, music, drama and dance encourage participation, teamwork and pride in community.
Wesley House
Blue and gold
Wesley House is named in honour of John Wesley, the English preacher and founder of Methodism. Established in 1946, Wesley House reflects a legacy of faith, service and leadership.
Whitfield House
Green and gold
Whitfield House is named after George Whitefield, the Oxford scholar and preacher associated with the early Methodist movement. Established in 1946, Whitfield House reflects conviction, purpose and a strong sense of service.
Alison Greene House
White and gold
Alison Greene House honours Miss Alice Jane Alison Greene, the first Principal of the school and one of the three Greene sisters who founded Moreton Bay Girls’ High School in 1901. Her legacy remains central to the identity and spirit of the College.
Drewe House
Black and gold
Drewe House is named after Mrs Millicent Drewe, Principal of the school from 1950 to 1964. She is remembered for her strong leadership and her important contribution to the development of the College.
